Job Description
The Assistant Art Director works closely with the Art Director, Director and Client to achieve the highest visual quality for broadcast.
Key Responsibilities
- Working under the guidance of the Art Director and Director supporting them on the Series Characters, Sets and overall look design
- Supporting the Art Director in their responsibility for the Visual direction across departments (2D through 3D phases)
- Supporting the Art Director on approvals at all stages (including lighting and final color correction in post production) to get them to a standard for final sign off by Art Director and Client
- Must be able to communicate in an articulate and positive manner
- Works closely with Art Director, Client, Producer and Director to achieve highest quality for broadcast.
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines and troubleshoot problems.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ in a lead artistic role in a production environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Capable of giving clear direction in the form of notes or Photoshop mark-ups both internally and to overseas studios
- Comfortable in working to tight deadlines
- Good knowledge of shotgun preferable
