'Give Up Yer Aul Sins' the series is based on the remaining recordings of young Dublin children telling Bible stories to their teacher Peig Cunningham, 30 years ago. These recordings got lost and were accidentally discovered by Fr. Brian Darcy and broadcast on RTE radio. They became very popular and were later released on CD by EMI records. In 2001, Cathal Gaffney heard these recordings on the radio and set about to make a short film which he directed that year.
