Screen Scene Group announces successful management buyout

Screen Scene Group has announced the completion of a successful management buyout from the NEP group, supported by DunPort Capital Management via the Birch Corporate Credit fund and a consortium of equity investors.

Under this new ownership structure, Screen Scene has stated that it is now poised for continued growth and innovation in the entertainment industry.

The management team of Screen Scene, led by Jake Walshe CEO, Mura O'Byrne FCA CFO, and Hubert Montag COO and investor group has acquired control of the company through a strategic buyout, signalling a significant milestone in its development. This move allows the management team to drive the company's vision forward with enhanced autonomy and flexibility to capitalize on emerging market opportunities.

Founded in 1985, Screen Scene has established a stellar reputation for its expertise in post-production services in the areas of VFX, Broadcast TV, Film & Drama and Commercials. The company has worked on a diverse range of acclaimed projects, from Star Wars to Spider-Man to FOX Television shows Beat Shazam and Name that Tune, to Irelands Fittest Family and films like Flora & Son and Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, to commercials for brands like AIB and Guinness.

The organisation has stated that the move makes the company “well-positioned to capitalize on emerging trends within the international marketplace and take advantage of Irelands growing reputation for delivering high quality creative work within the media industry”.
