SDGI Invites Directors & Producers to 'Wexford Stories' 10K Film Fund Networking Event

The Screen Directors Guild of Ireland and the Wexford County Council has invited directors and producers to attend an evening of presentations from ten writers from the ‘Wexford Stories’ initiative.

This project provides support to Screenwriters who took part in the Wexford Screen Writers Professional Development Workshops in 2017. 

For directors that decide to partner with one of these 10 writers, funding of up to €10,000, with an additional €1800 in equipment from Teach Solais, advice and mentorship will be available to the successful team. The team who can create the most exciting and dynamic proposal for a short film suitable for shooting in the Wexford Region will receive the prize.

Event details:

Date: Wednesday 9th of May, 2018. 

Location: Brooks Hotel, Drury St, Dublin. 

Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm 

Writers who have been selected, have participated in the Wexford Writers Workshop where they have been professionally mentored by Eugene O’Brien (‘Eden’, ‘The Flag’, ‘Pure Mule’), Paul Walker (‘Red Rock’ Show Runner), Ian Power (‘The Runway’, ‘The Tattoo’) and David Keating (‘Wake Wood’, ‘The Last of the High Kings’, and ‘Cherry Tree’) to develop short film screenplays tailored for shooting in the wider Wexford region.
