Screen Training Ireland to host Vectorworks 2D & 3D for Art Department

Jonathan Reeves will tutor the two-day programme which begins Sunday, June 25th in the Guinness Enterprise Centre.

The deadline for applications is Thursday, June 15th.

It is designed for beginners and intermediate Vectorworks users to benefit from a structured training programme which guarantees learning and understanding from 1st principles, though some experience with drafting or drawing is required.

Art Department Trainees, Draftspersons, Assistant Art Directors, Art Directors and Production Designers are encouraged to apply.

Following an introduction to the Vectorworks environment, the course will focus on the underlying concepts of Vectorworks and teaches users how to be more efficient and productive using improved working methods.

The course will introduce the basic concepts of 3D modelling and visualisation using Vectorworks. This course deals with creating and managing more complex 3D projects with a high level of detail. It examines methods of modelling complex shapes and objects and preparing the model for rendering.

About Jonathan Reeves
Jonathan is a Chartered Architect in the UK and a member of the RIBA. Studying at Sheffield University, Jonathan gained a -Degree in Architecture and a Masters in Architecture.

During his career, Jonathan has gained valuable experience working in a number of small, medium and large architecture and design practices in London, Bristol and Australia, and has won several awards for his imaginative use of computing in architecture.

Having used Vectorworks software for more than 20 years, and trained hundreds of designers and architectural practices across the world, Jonathan is as passionate as ever about the future of computing in architecture and the development of BIM.
