The ninth edition of the workshop will continue to accept applications until Thursday, February 23rd, with European and Asian producers encouraged to apply, along with EU applicants in the fields of sales, finance, distribution or festival programming interested in working with Asia.
Ten producers and five of the secondary group will be accepted into the workshop, which has been a catalyst in developing such projects as ‘A Yellow Bird’ (K. Rajagopal), ‘Dog Days’ (Jordan Schiele), ‘Flapping in the Middle of Nowhere’ (Hoang Diep Nguyen) and more.
Each of these projects have been honoured with top prizes at international festivals, including Berlinale and the Venice Critic’s Awards.
Workshop 1: April 25th–29th, 2017
Taking place within the framework of the Udine Far East Film Festival, Italy.
Workshop 2: Early December 2017
Taking place in Singapore during the Southeast Asian Film Financing (SAFF) Forum in partnership with the Southeast Asian Audio-Visual Association (SAAVA).
