“The aim of this work is to say to people where are you going, heaven or hell?” says Clifford Edwards a travelling evangelical preacher on his Bible bus as he journeys the roads of rural Ireland in Brian Gray’s documentary ‘Preachers’. The atmospheric slice of life film provides a unique look at the working lives and beliefs of three preachers set to the spiritual soundtrack of the original Man in Black, Johnny Cash.

Gray’s documentary ‘Preachers’ is driven and punctuated by several contemporary Johnny Cash tracks taken from the American Recordings sessions ranging from traditional versions of bible songs to a cover of Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus. The preachers’ motivations, stories and methods of spreading the ‘good news’ are profiled in this engaging, entertaining film.
