Multiple Distribution deals for Brendan Muldowney’s ‘Pilgrimage’
2017-04-13 : Katie McNeice
The title is due to premiere at Tribeca in the coming weeks and has struck several major deals in international territories, following a previous seven figure deal with RLJ Entertainment for the US rights in February.

Muldowney has directed a script from Jamie Hannigan, with Conor Barry and John Keville of Savage Productions producing.

‘Pilgrimage’ has sold to A Contracorriente (Spain), AT Entertainment (Japan), Eagle Pictures (Italy), Fabula Films (Turkey), Falcon (Middle East), Fox for first-run Asian Pay TV, StudioCanal (UK), Transmission (Australia & New Zealand) and With Lion (South Korea).

It was filmed in counties Mayo and Galway in Ireland and the Ardennes in Belgium and stars ‘The Lost City of Z’ actor Tom Holland alongside Jon Bernthal (The Punisher) and Richard Armitage (Brain on Fire).

It follows a group of monks in 13th century Ireland attempting to bring their holiest relic to Rome amidst social and political upheaval.
