Feature film submissions are now open for the 32nd Galway Film Fleadh, taking place from 7th – 12th July, 2020.
The Film Fleadh is Ireland’s leading film festival, the international discovery place of New Irish Cinema, and host to the Galway Film Fair, Ireland’s only film & television marketplace.
2020 in Galway is full of promise as the European Capital of Culture 2020 and the 32nd Film Fleadh take place in the city this year, making Galway strong platform for celebrating the boldest new works in cinema for audiences from around the world.
Filmmakers with works-in-progress, or completed works ready to debut in the new year, are encouraged to begin the submission process early.
The Galway Film Fleadh awards feature films selected for competition in the following categories:
- Irish First Feature
- International First Feature
- Irish Film
- International Film
- Irish Documentary
- International Documentary
- Cinematography in an Irish Film
Winners in recent years include A Bump Along the Way, For Sama, The Dig, Katie, Michael Inside, The Young Offenders, Song of Granite, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Song of the Sea, among others.
Early bird deadline: Friday January 17th, 2020 at 5p.m. G.M.T. Early Bird entry fees are at a discounted rate of €30.
After the Early Bird Deadline, the fee will increase to the Regular price of €40. Regular deadline: Friday March 13th, 2020 at 5p.m. G.M.T.
There will be a late deadline of Friday, April 3rd 2020, the fee for which is €50.
