Arrow Films has agreed a deal with Bac Films for the UK/Irish distribution rights for ‘The Cured’, which is expected to be released theatrically next spring, 2018.
The film, which premiered at Toronto, is David Freyne’s feature directorial debut, and is set in a future where cured zombies are reintegrated into society. The film is produced by Rory Dungan and Rachael O’Kane from Tilted Pictures.
Tom Stewart, acquisitions director for Arrow Films, said:
“We’re very excited to be bringing such a powerful and original film out into the UK and Ireland in 2018 and to be once again collaborating with everyone at BAC Films.”
BAC’s VP of international sales Marie Garrett said:
“We are thrilled to renew our collaboration with Arrow Films on ‘The Cured’. Their great taste and slate make them the perfect partner for the UK/Ireland release.”
‘The Cured’ stars Ellen Page, Sam Keeley, Tom Vaughan Lawlor, Paula Malcomson and Stuart Graham.
IFC also picked up the rights for North American distribution at TIFF where the film received great reviews across all of the trades, earlier this year.
