The training initiative is backed by Creative Skillset and BFI, in partnership with the Irish Film Board, who are sponsoring the participation of Irish writer Demian Fox (Good Dog).
The scheme announces the pairing of established industry professionals with up-and-coming talents each year, who will share their expertise to nurture the next generation of filmmakers in their respective fields.
Previous Irish participants include Irish writer/director Kate Dolan (Little Doll), who was mentored by Alice Lowe (Prevenge). Applications for mentees have closed in this round of the scheme.
Of the 230 applications to the scheme, 13 directors, writers and producers have been selected by Lighthouse and Creative Skillset.
Directors: Lucy Cohen, Meloni Poole, Nicky Lianos, Sarah McCarthy, and Sean Spencer.
Producers: Catryn Ramasut, Dominique Unsworth, Kamilla Kristiane Hodøl, Emilie Jouffroy, and Loran Dunn.
Writers: Demian Fox, Harry Macqueen and John Hickman.
