VooDooDog Embark on ‘Love in the Time of Cholera’

Animation company VooDooDog, run by Irish brothers Paul and Noel Donnellon, is currently creating the opening title sequence for the film adaptation of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s bestselling novel ‘Love in the Time of Cholera’. The film is directed by Mike Newell (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Donnie Brasco)

The sequence is being directed by Paul Donnellon, produced by Noel Donnellon and David Z.Obadiah with motion graphics by Andrew White.

VooDooDog’s high profile credits include the main title sequences for ‘Smokin’ Aces’, ‘Hot Fuzz’, ‘Nanny McPhee’ and ‘The Life and Death of Peter Sellers’, for which the team received an Emmy-nomination.

The title sequence in ‘Love in the Time of Cholera’ consists of exotic flowers growing on screen with tendrils making the main title.

The film tells the story of a love triangle set in turn-of-the-century South America, where two lovers wait out careers, marriages, affairs and deaths until they can reunite.

The film stars John Leguizamo (Moulin Rouge!, Romeo + Juliet), Laura Harring (Mulholland Dr.) and Liev Schreiber (The Omen).

‘Love In The Time Of Cholera’ a New Line Cinema picture is on release in the USA on 16th November.
