Post production work on the new series of Animo’s hidden camera comedy series, ‘Anonymous’ will be completed on Friday, November 11th. This year’s series will feature disguised celebrities such as Rosanna Davidson, Jason Byrne and Jedward playing tricks on the public.
An Animo and Kite Entertainment co-production, the fifth instalment of the show is directed by Darren Smith (The Byrne Ultimatum) and produced by Ruth McNally with Adrian Lynch (Class Clown) on board as executive producer.
Director, Darren Smith tells IFTN that featureing Jedward allowed the show new prank opportunities: “It was decided to have a Jedward episode because of their unique box-office appeal and ability to drive an audience and also because we'd never done a duo before so it gave us lots of scope for playing with the format,” he explains. The show’s director of photography is Joe Edwards (Croke Park Lives.
The 6 x 30 minute series is currently being edited by Janice Toomey in Windmill Lane and will broadcast on RTÉ in January 2011.
