VooDooDog Enrolls In 'St. Trinian's'
18 Dec 2007 :
St Trinian's
Animation company VooDooDog, run by Irish brothers Paul and Noel Donnellon, has created the opening title sequence for school-based feature ‘St. Trinian’s’, set for release in Irish and UK cinemas this Christmas.

The VooDooDog team also created an animated sequence based on the characters of English cartoonist Ronald Searle, which appears in the film.

‘St Trinian’s’ is directed and produced by Oliver Parker, helmer of ‘An Ideal Husband’ and ‘Fade to Black’ and produced by Barnaby Thompson (The Importance of Being Earnest, Hope Springs). The pic stars Rupert Everett (Stardust, My Best Friend’s Wedding), Colin Firth (Bridget Jones, Love Actually), Stephen Fry (V for Vendetta, A Cock and Bull Story), Jodie Whittaker (Venus, This Life + 10) and TV presenter/comedian Russell Brand (The Russell Brand Show, Big Brothers Efourum).

The animated sequence was directed by Paul Donnellon, produced by David Z. Obadiah and Noel Donnellon and animated by Petria Whelan and Harriet Gillian, with compositing by Andrew White. It depicts a planned heist by the young ladies of St. Trinian’s.

‘St.Trinian’s’ follows the happening at a school for "young ladies", with an anarchic doctrine of free expression, and brings together a motley crew of ungovernable girls who, using their wit and ingenuity, save the school from bankruptcy.

‘St.Trinian’s’ is on release in the UK & Ireland on the 21st December.
