Gerard Conway is an experienced lighting camera operator/DoP.
He started working with Rodger Cormans Studios in 1995 when it opened.Here he worked on fourteen 35mm Feature films during this time. He progressed from a lighting technician to gaffer and a from a camera assistant to a DoP.
In 1998 Gerard started in the television industry with Telegael Teo. Spiddal, Co. Galway. During his four years with Telegael he gained much documentary, corporate, outside broadcast and tv drama experience.
He was a camera operator for Tv3 when it began in 1998.
His experience also includes working on some of the biggest films to have been filmed in Ireland. e.g. King Arthur, Penny Dreadful.
Recently Gerard was a full time Camera Operator on the IFTA winning tv drama "Red Rock" for two seasons.
Gerard is an experienced focus puller on drama productions.Other skills include Stedicam operation and movi / Jib / Crane operation.
He continues to work in drama and documentary and has been involved in many award winning productions. e.g. “Harry Potter”, “An Klondike”.
