The first short film to air on the channel this month in a bid to give a platform to stories from independent filmmakers was ‘Noreen’, from Domhnall Gleeson. ‘Breakfast Wine’ directed by Ian Fitzgibbon is next up and will air on Monday, April 17th.
‘Breakfast Wine’ is written by Kevin Barry and produced by Michael Garland. Pat Shortt (Smalltown), Ruth Bradley (Rebellion), Dylan Moran (Shaun of the Dead) and David Pearse (Vikings) star in the short which centres on a pub in a small Irish town.
In Ireland they say it takes just three alcoholics to keep a small bar running in a country town. But what if you've only got two?
