27 Oct 2017 : Nathan Griffin
Aidan Gillen has been confirmed for the History Channel's 'Blue Book' UFO Scripted drama series.

Details divulged so far about the cast and crew of the show include Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis who will executive produce the show, along with Oscar and Emmy winning production designer and special effects artist, Robert Stromberg, who will direct the first two episodes of the show. Gillen is set to play Dr. J. Allen Hynek, an American astrophysicist and UFO skeptic who is recruited as the Chief Scientific Advisor of 'Project Blue Book'.

The 10-episode series is written and created by David O'Leary and chronicles the true top-secret U.S Airforce- sponsored investigations into UFO-related phenomena in the 1950s and ’60s, known as “Project Blue Book.”

O’Leary co-executive produces, Sean Jablonski (Suits) is showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Zemeckis, Jack Rapke (Flight) and Jackie Levine (Allied) are executive producers for Compari Entertainment.

This follows the news that Gillen will play Queen's band manager Paul Reid in the new Queen Biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody', which is currently filming, and has just wrapped on the upcoming Dave Allen biopic for BBC Two. Gillen will also feature in the new season of 'Peaky Blinders'.
