Fingal Film & Arts Festival kicks off Friday August 11th

Still, 'Knights of the Damned' (Opening Film)
The annual festival, now in its sixth year, is set to open its doors with a brand new festival format and tickets going on sale this week.

The team have changed venue this year to the idyllic Swords Castle in Co Dublin, where they have the best line-up of comedy, live music and independent film.

All your hospitality needs will be catered for by the team at the Wright Venue full bar license and food vendors are available for the whole weekend, opening at 11:00 until late every day.

Launching the festival on Friday, courtesy of High Flyers Distribution UK, will be the Irish Premiere Feature Film ‘Knights of the Damned’, from the Producers of ‘Games of Thrones’ and special effects by the team who created ‘Harry Potter’. Live music will feature throughout the whole weekend with Paddy Casey taking to the stage on Saturday night. Live comedy from Giz a Laugh & Rorys Stories.

Casting & Acting workshops will be held for adults and young people with Guest Speaker Eva Jane Gaffeney from Louise Kiely Casting. We also have Foley Design workshop from Jean Mc Grath and Coaimhe Doyle from Ardmore Sound & Screen Scene plus children's animation workshops Guest Speaker Darren Murrey from Brown Bag Films.These events will feature all over the weekend alongside the screening of independent films from all over the world. Sunday will focus on a Family Fun day with Morning Glorville, yoga and music for everyone, followed by indie screenings plus live music, drawing the festival to a close.

The main Sponsor of this year's event is Fingal County Council and will see Fingal Film Festival being cemented into the annual calendar for the whole county, as this event will have something for all ages and interests.
