The ‘Penny Dreadful’ actress plays crisis negotiator Maxine Carlson in the new series created by Frank Spotnitz, whose credits also include ‘X-Files’. The series enjoyed its premiere on New Year’s Day.
Greene’s character is one of a team of crisis negotiators in a cast which also includes Luke Roberts (Game of Thrones), Brandon Jay McLaren (Chicago Fire), Nazneen Contractor (Heroes Reborn) and Jenessa Grant (Orphan Black).
The series is inspired by the real-life experiences of negotiator Laurent Combalbert, one of the world’s top negotiators, who has worked with multinational corporations and governmental agencies.
The show was filmed in Toronto and consists of a remaining twelve episodes directed by Richard J. Lewis and Erik Canuel.
2016 highlights for Greene include her role as May Lacey ‘Rebellion’, which earned her an IFTA nomination for Best Actress in a Lead Role in Drama and Hecat Poole in ‘Penny Dreadful’ for which she was awarded the IFTA for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in Drama.
She was additionally honoured with the Rising Star Award at the 2016 Film & Drama Awards ceremony.
