The 63 year-old Irish actor best known for his portrayal of James Bond will star alongside Dave Bautista in ‘Final Score’, which is set to start shooting at Upton Park Stadium, home of the landmark West Ham soccer club, early next month.
The action film written by Jonathan Frank, David and Keith Lynch, will see a hostage situation arise at a major sporting event, which calls for an ex-soldier to save the crowd when a ransom is demanded.
The project is set to be directed by Scott Mann, who previously directed Bautista in ‘Heist’ in 2015, alongside Robert De Niro.
The team of producers are composed of Marc Goldberg, hailing from Signature Entertainment, and Robert Jones and Wayne Marc Godfrey from Fyzz Facility. Godfrey is also known for producing Stephen Fingleton’s acclaimed film ‘The Survivalist’.
Signature Entertainment is also set to distribute, with Highland Film Group overseeing global sales.
Fyzz Facility’s Robert Jones has expressed their excitement at the calibre of talent attracted to the script, and expects ‘Final Score’ to be a standout release in 2017.
Brosnan’s schedule has been full of projects already this year, with AMC’s ‘The Son’ chronicling the affairs of a Texas oil family currently filming. Brosnan also stars in Martin Campbell’s ‘The Foreigner’ featuring fellow Irish talent Charlie Murphy. Additional projects include ‘The Urge’ directed by Aaron Kaufman and ‘My Father Die’ directed by Brosnan’s own son Sean Brosnan.
