Tilted Pictures has just wrapped on a three-day shoot for ‘The Man In 301’, a short prison musical written by Patrick Freyne and directed by David Freyne.
The film was shot on 16mm in Mountjoy Prison with funding through the Kildare County Council: Arts Act Grant Scheme.
“The Man in 301 is a horror-fairytale,” says director David Freyne, “Three prisoners in each of their cells recounts the story of their crimes in song, with each blaming their excesses on an accomplice, the man in 301.”
The cast of singer/ actors is Kevin Connelly, Mick Fitzgerald, Tim Landers and Paul Nolan. The production team includes director of photography Arthur Mulhern, production designer Claire McGuiness, sound mixer Philip Grier and gaffer Gavin O’Reilly. The camera equipment was provided by the FÁS Media Centre, and lighting by Filmbase and Destudio.
Producers Rachael O’ Kane, Rory Dungan and David Freyne wish to thank everyone involved in the production for all their hard work and enthusiasm. They are now looking forward to editing with Alan Freir, beginning on the 18th June.
