I was born in Dublin to a musical family. My mother sang on the then ‘Radio Eireann’ in the 30's.My father sang in Dublin in the 50,s.I trained as an Actor under Deirdre O’Connell in the Focus Theatre and briefly under Ray MacAnnally in the Abbey Theatre. After appearing in the Abbey Theatre in the late 70's I gave it up and went into the ‘Irish Press’ Newspaper. I came back to Film in 2001 in ‘How Harry became a Tree’. The bug bit again and after a while I got my ‘Equity’ card back and have since appeared in many films and TV programmes as well as Adverts. I went back to the Abbey Theatre in 2008 in Oscar Wilde's ‘An Ideal Husband’.
Have two CD's of my own work available through "Claddagh Records" in Dublin and my first book of Short Stories "Session" is available through "Claddagh Records" as well.
Am doing Readings of Grimms' Fairy tales in Munich,Germany for a CD for Children in January 2011 and re-run of the Play "Men are from Stonybatter,women from Phibsboro" in February at the "New Theatre" in February 2011 Dublin where it is back by popular demand.
I have released a CD of Grimms' Irish Folk Legends available through "Claddagh Records" in Dublin.This is a spoken word recording.
