Andrew Scott wil star alongside Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, and Cailee Spaeny in the third Knives Out film from director Rian Jonson, Wake Up Dead Man.
Andrew Scott is the latest addition to the cast of the Knives Out ‘threequel’, Wake Up Dead Man. Josh O’Connor (Challengers, La Chimera) and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla, Civil War) were the first new cast members to be announced. Rumours are circulating online that Tom Hardy and Lindsay Lohan may also be joining the cast, but that is yet to be officially confirmed.
Plot details of Wake Up Dead Man are yet to be revealed, but director Rian Johnson has teased that it is Benoit Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet". Daniel Craig will return to play Private Detective Blanc, following previous films Knives Out and Glass Onion.
Daniel Craig and Andrew Scott have previously shared the big screen together in the 2015 James Bond film, Spectre.
Scott is having a successful year on both the big and small screen, starring in Netflix original series Ripley as the titular character to critical acclaim, as well as receiving Actor of the Year at the London Critics’ Circle Awards, following his lead performance in All of Us Strangers opposite Paul Mescal.
Wake Up Dead Man is expected to go into production soon, and is slated to release in 2025.
