John Butler's film is produced by Treasure Entertainment.
John Butler’s Handsome Devil (Treasure Films) is confirmed for a TIFF premiere.
‘Handsome Devil’ is a coming-of-age story that pokes fun at Ireland's rugby culture. John Butler also wrote the screenplay for the film.
The film stars this year’s Best Actor IFTA winner Moe Dunford (‘Patrick’s Day’), Andrew Scott (‘Spectre’), Amy Huberman (‘The Stag’), Norma Sheahan (‘The Clinic’), Michael MacElhatton (‘Perrier’s Bounty’) and Hugh O'Conor (‘Pilgrimage’). Louise Kiely Casting were behind the casting for the feature film.
Another Treasure Entertainment project – ‘Viva’ – directed by Paddy Breathnach and written by Mark O’ Halloran – goes on general release this Friday in Ireland (Element is distributing).
