The Irish Film and Television Academy held a special 'First Look' preview screening of 'A Kiss for Jed' the directorial debut feature from Maurice Linnane starring Jayne Wisener , Mark O’Halloran and Lee Arenberg, in the IFI on Tuesday 1st May 2012.
Following the screening there was a Q&A session with director Maurice Linnane and star Mark O’Halloran, facilitated by Irish Independent's Sophie Gorman.

The Irish Film and Television Academy hosted a special In Conversation With… Seamus McGarvey event in the Irish Film Institute in Dublin on the 24th April 2012.
The Irish cinematographer who’s list of credits include: ‘Marvel’s Avengers Assemble’, ‘We Need To Talk About Kevin’, ‘Atonement’, and ‘World Trade Centre’ took part in a Q&A session which was facilitated by photographer Perry Ogden, during which he spoke of his experiences working as a cinematographer on large scale Hollywood movies, his career highlights and discussed his professional techniques as a DOP.

The 33rd annual Celtic Media Festival ran from 18th – 20th April 2012 and was held at The Playhouse Theatre, Derry.
The three day event saw some of the most influential names from the broadcasting and film industries gather at The Playhouse Theatre and venues across the city.
The Festival is an annual three-day celebration of broadcasting, digital media, film talent and excellence from Scotland, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man and Brittany.
